In parapsychology, the phrase clairvoyance is used purely to describe information - in the the present time and not necessarily readily accessible to the particular clairvoyant - coming from an external source, rather than telepathy, where information is moved from one mind to a different. In other words, a clairvoyant has the ability to see or visualise events, items or persons away from capability or range of physical sight.
Remote control viewing, usually a managed, specific process, is a facet of voyance amour gratuite, as is clairvoyant dreaming. For instance, chances are you'll dream about a location they have never seen before and then find it is exactly since they had visualised it in their dream.
This happened to me, for example, when I was about to start my first term at college. As I had never been to the city where the school was located, my dad offered to take me personally there in order to find the way in which from the train station to the college. Having imagined about it the night just before we went, I had been able to lead him to the college along the shortest course possible, knowing wherever and when to turn. I was even able to make sure he understands how long it would take us to get right now there.
However, outside of the field of parapsychology the term is generally used to describe other kinds of paranormal, or anomalous, perception. Most of the time, it is used in relation to the perception of previous (retro cognition) or even future (precognition) events. It is a gift many have got without even realising it. To use another personal expertise as an example (and I don't claim to be a clairvoyant in any way), a few years ago, a friend's daughter had gone into hospital at the start of the evening to have her first child. Whilst with a group of mutual friends around 10 PM, an individual suggested we should phone the hospital and find out exactly how she was making. As one of them picked up the phone, I announced that a call will be wasted, as she'd have a little boy in the early hours of the following morning. We known as anyway and were told she was in bed as the labour experienced slowed. My friend said the next morning which her grandson came to be at 5:30 AM.
Frequently, mediums will also refer to the particular perception of images perceived during communication along with spirits as clairvoyance.
Whatever the case, clairvoyance is a precious reward which can and should be used in order to help as well as guide others.
